Our devotion reflects our commitment to a clear set of godly core values. “This I say for your own benefit… but to promote what is appropriate and to secure undistracted devotion to the Lord” (1 Corinthians 7:35).
The generation behind us is the greatest resource God has given us to equip, train, and prepare to be the next line of warriors when we are gone. We all then have a responsibility of raising up the next generation to come and follow God. How do we put this huge responsibility into action?
God calls me to become mature like His Son Jesus Christ. “For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them TO BECOME LIKE HIS SON, so that his Son would be the firstborn, with many brothers and sisters.” Romans 8:29 (NLT)
We have a broken relationship with God but Jesus made the first move towards reconciliation. Now, we should pursue peace with other people. Our first ministry is that of reconciliation: if we are in Christ, He will use us in reconciling the world to Him.
